I’m back after a week’s hiatus from posting. How have you guys been? After San Francisco we took a quick trip to Vegas and then Northern Arizona to check out some new places I’ve wanted to see for so long. I’ve always thought that California road trips are a summer thing and while the weather in the summer time along the coast can’t be beaten, the crowds certainly can. The winter, late fall and early spring is along a great time to travel the coastal route. Yes the weather is generally worse and it’s good to be flexible with your time due to this. There are also far fewer people around, finding a parking spot is a breeze and the coast just has a wild edge to it. You can also spot whales at this time too. But, Highway 1 often closes in some parts due to landslides and you’ll have to bring some warm clothes.
