The Best Bars in Valletta, Malta
Cafe Society
Quite easily one of the best cocktail bars Malta has to offer, Cafe Society is a hip, neon-lit spot perfect for a pre or post-dinner tipple.
This bar embodies a refined blend of sophistication and comfort, offering guests an exceptional selection of cocktails and beverages in a setting that respects the architectural heritage of its surroundings. It is on one of Valletta, prettiest streets.
With a terrace that presents unmatched views of the city’s storied facades, it serves as a sophisticated enclave for thirsty travelers. The bar is small- just a few tables inside, bar seating, and a few more on the sidewalk outside- yet there’s a very cool vibe each evening.
Their menu has all the classics but the focus here is on the house cocktails, with a brilliant play on words, which you can find on the chalkboard behind the bar. We ordered a few different tipples and they were all superb.
For cocktail lovers, make sure not to miss this spot off your Valletta itinerary.

Known more for its food than as a bar, but the Harbour Club also has a superb terrace, looking out over the Grand Harbour, perfect for an aperitivo at sundown. Offering a selection of snacks and beverages such as wine and cocktails, it’s a gorgeous spot any day of the week.
This venue skillfully blends historical charm with contemporary elegance, offering a sophisticated atmosphere to enjoy. The snack menu, focused on Mediterranean cuisine, showcases fresh, local ingredients prepared with a modern twist.
