Top Tips for Choosing Luxury Hotels in Antigua Guatemala
↠ Wherever you choose to stay on this list, you’ll be centrally located in the heart of Antigua Guatemala. Antigua is a very small city and its colonial heart is small. This is where all the luxury and boutique accommodation is located and all the attractions, sights, and restaurants and within walking distance.
↠ Come prepared for different luxury standards. Luxury in Guatemala isn’t the same as luxury in New York or in Italy. That’s not to say the 5-star hotels in Antigua Guatemala are inadequate in any way, they are very enjoyable stays but they are just different.
This is particularly noticeable in the service, but also in the design choice and sometimes the installation.
Don’t forget that Antigua Guatemala is a very old city and these colonial buildings are over 400 years old!
↠ Most hotels offer an airport transfer or shuttle service which is an affordable and comfortable way to get from Guatemala Airport to Antigua.
The airport is located in Guatemala City and not Antigua making it a little far to reach. I’d highly recommend booking a transfer to save you the fuss, or you can also book an airport transfer in advance here.
In conclusion, Antigua Guatemala has many luxury hotels that offer a comfortable and memorable stay for visitors. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful and serene atmosphere or a lively cultural experience, these hotels have something for everyone.
