The Best Spas in Bangkok
Amaranth Spa is one of the best spas in Bangkok. The spa is located inside the Kimpton Maa-Lai Hotel in the Sukhumvit/Lumphini area of Bangkok. Amaranth Spa stands as a sanctuary of ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation with a spa menu full of traditional Thai wellness combined with contemporary luxury.
The spa’s facilities are a real dream and are characterized by neutral tones, clean lines, and minimalist vibes with an emphasis on the elemental. There are several private and couples treatment rooms that are ample and luxurious.
The spa menu has everything you need when it comes to self-care. There are ‘time spots’ packages that allow you to pick and choose treatments based on your needs, anti-office treatment packages, traditional Thai massages, deep tissue massage, oil massage, and decadent facials. Nail services are also available.
Le Spa with L’Occitane
Another top luxury hotel spa in Bangkok, Sofitel spas are one of the best things about the Sofitel Hotels and Bangkok is no exception.
This is an award-winning spa, the only one in Bangkok that combines French-Mediterranean philosophies with Thailand’s healing arts. There are 7 treatment rooms including couples rooms. There’s also a beautiful jacuzzi to relax in after or before your treatment.
The spa has many different services and treatments on offer from invigorating facials to traditional massages that use authentic Thai and international techniques.
Note: Sofitel does have another hotel in Bangkok and an award-winning spa called So Spa. So Spa is another great alternative that draws on Thai traditions, especially if the Lumphini area is more convenient for you.
Capella Bangkok is one of the newest additions to uber-luxurious places to stay in Bangkok and with it comes Auriga Spa, Capella’s signature spa brand.
This gorgeous hotel is already a place of serenity but the spa really is a sanctuary located at the hotel’s heart. It’s the complete opposite of Bangkok’s frantic streets and the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring.
Auriga Spa, probably the best luxury spa in Bangkok, offers a lavish yet comfortable spa living room and garden as well as top-notch facilities. It features a steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool, and sensory shower that all guests can indulge in.
There are 7 treatment suites and 2 couples suites too that are spacious, luxurious, and very aesthetic.
The Auriga Spa menu features many different unique and local treatments to indulge in. It’s one of the few places where you can get Thai Therapy Tok Sen or Hammer Massage as well as other traditional Thai therapies. There are also regenerative facials, body treatments, sound therapy, and traditional and modern massage techniques.
During my visit, I opted for the signature massage which was the perfect way to relax and help smooth away muscle tension, especially after a 12-hour flight.
Best Spas in Bangkok: Divana Spas
Divana is one of the most popular mid-range spas in Bangkok and for good reason. Here you can expect top-quality treatments for a great price tag. They specialize in high-quality, oriental-focused treatments including Thai massages.
Divana has many different branches in Bangkok. Each brand has its own aesthetic and feel and each one offers its own signature programs and treatments.
My personal favorite is Divana Scentuara Spa, not only for its beautiful traditional Thai decor but also for its detoxifying and stress management programs. They also have some great full-day spa programs for anyone wishing to fully relax and take it easy on a day in Bangkok.
If you’re looking for the best independent spas in Bangkok, Divana is probably the best day spa in Bangkok. As treatments differ via location, I’d highly recommend looking at each branch menu carefully to match your needs with the ideal treatment.
Clinique La Prairie Aesthetics & Medical Spa
For those looking for a top spa in Bangkok, make sure to visit Clinique La Prairie Spa. Nestled within the bustling St Regis Hotel Bangkok, the Clinique La Prairie Spa emerges as a serene retreat where wellness and opulence intertwine in perfect harmony.
The signature spa of luxury Swiss skincare brands, the spa offers many different treatments using their superb anti-aging skincare products.
The facilities at Clinique La Prairie Spa are well and truly superb and feature high-quality and luxurious, private treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pools, and relaxation lounges that invite you to unwind.
The treatments focus on delivering visible results and have a bit more of a medical focus than other top spas in Bangkok. Expert therapists tailor each experience to your specific needs, utilizing Clinique or La Prairie’s premium skincare products.
Some of their most popular treatments are the rebalance and energy experiences as well as their more non-invasive medical procedures like laser treatments, cellular treatments, and IV treatments.
Yunomori Onsen & Spa
Indulge in a unique combination of hot spring baths and massage at the only Japanese onsen spa in Bangkok. This Japanese-inspired oasis amidst the urban sprawl is a tantalizing blend of tradition and luxury which makes it one of the best spas in Bangkok.
Drawing inspiration from the age-old Japanese practice of onsen bathing, Yunomori brings the therapeutic benefits of natural mineral-rich waters to the heart of the Thai capital.
The facilities here are a delightful nod to Japan’s bathing culture: multiple mineral baths of varying temperatures, a rejuvenating steam room, and a relaxing sauna that transports you to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Apart from relaxing in the mineral pools, you can also take advantage of the spa therapies like massage, herbal compress, and body scrubs. The combination of a mineral soak and a relaxing massage can do wonders for relaxation and self-care.
The Oriental Spa
A luxury spa in Bangkok, the Oriental Spa at Mandarin Oriental is another superb place to relax, unwind and indulge in some self-care, guilt-free.
With traditional Thai decor and feel, treatments here blend contemporary and ancient techniques to leave you feeling revitalized and relaxed. Some of the most noteworthy treatments include the Oriental Qi massage to transfer unwanted energy as well as the Inner Strength massage which aims to ease physical tension and emotional anxiety.
The Oriental Spa menu is seriously comprehensive and bursting with all kinds of classic and unique treatments. Make sure to try at least one when in Bangkok.
Papuri Wellness & Organic Spa
Panpuri is one of the most well-known spas and wellness brands in Bangkok with a considerable fanbase in Thailand and beyond.
With two locations in Bangkok, one on the 12th Floor of the Gaysorn Village and an Organic Spa at Park Hyatt, Panpuri offers an immediate wellness escape from the bustling city.
Panpuri Wellness is modern and sleek and the services here are top quality. They have onsen pools to relax in, an Akasuri scrub room, a steam bath room, a Himalayan salt sauna, a wellness bar, and a wellness studio.
The Organic Spa at the Park Hyatt focuses more on treatments. The tranquil sanctuary is a place for relaxation and unforgettable experiences. There is a real emphasis on organic ingredients and the spa uses its own PAÑPURI organic skincare range.
Signature treatments include their Panpuri relaxation package, the Royal Treat Thai Massage, and the Arunayouth Defying Gravity Age Delay Facial.
Best Spas in Bangkok: Omroom
For a wellness center with a difference make sure to pay Omroom a visit when in Bangkok. Omroom differs from ordinary spas in the sense that it focuses more on the mind than on the body. Treatments here are designed to work through blockages in the mind, stimulate memory and shift your mindset into a more meditative state. It’s all about personal and spiritual growth.
One of their signature treatments is memory therapy, a treatment that analyses your thought patterns and aims to shift them. There’s also Chakra Cleansing, Tarot Reading, and Past Life Regression Therapy.
If you’re someone coming to Bangkok on vacation with a mind full of work stress and worry, a tendency towards toxic thoughts and negativity then this spa might be the one for you to try out first.
Harnn Heritage Spa
I first came across Harnn’s collection of cosmetics while staying in Bangkok’s Kimpton Maa-Lai and during treatments at the Amaranth Spa. Upon further research I discovered this is just your average luxury cosmetics brand, Harnn has its own spas in Bangkok, Thailand, and Asia I knew I had to check out.
Harnn’s Heritage Spa is all about resorting natural balance of the body and mind. They draw upon ancient Asian practices and techniques to bring together indulgent treatments that leave you feeling refreshed and new.
With many unique massage techniques, body therapies, and natural facials on their menu, you’ll be able to kick back and enjoy one of the best luxury spas in Bangkok.
The Oasis Spa is one of the best Thai spa and massages in Bangkok. The brand was first established in Chiang Mai in 2003 and it’s expanded around the country since, making it one of the most popular spa experiences in Thailand.
In Bangkok, you’ll find three different branches; GAAYA by Oasis Spa, Urban Oasis Spa and Sukhumvit 31 all located in different areas of Bangkok. My personal favorite is Oasis Spa at Sukhumvit 31, mainly due to its traditional Thai architecture and secret garden in which guests can relax after treatments.
Oasis Spa really is a beautiful spa, a sacred oasis of relaxation and well-being. Treatments include traditional massage, facials, body scrubs, and wraps as well as hydrotherapy and signature treatments. There are also various 2-3 hour packages, perfect for longer time-outs.
I. Sawan Residential Spa & Club
At the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel you’ll find I.Sawan Residential Spa and Club. For serious spa fans, this isn’t just a place to come and spend a few hours, you can also check into their exclusive Garden Villa for a whole wellness-focused trip.

At the spa, you’ll be able to get pampered in style with bespoke treatments and packages. You’ll be able to unwind and find peace of mind in this calming space.
All treatments use Italian-made Comfort Zone skincare products and you can spoil yourself with massages, facials, body treatments, and more.
Treatments here are a little on the limited side, especially when compared to some of the other great hotel spas in Bangkok but for those looking for an overnight spa stay, this is the spot.
